This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions related to the production, handling, and international shipment of charcoal products manufactured in China by The Charcoal Factory.
As a bulk charcoal manufacturer and exporter, we primarily serve distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and supermarket chains worldwide.
2. Manufacturing Location
All products are manufactured in China at our production facilities equipped with high-capacity production lines and export-ready infrastructure.
Orders are processed and prepared for international shipment directly from our manufacturing facility or designated export port in China.
3. Order Processing & Production Time
- Standard production lead time: 15–30 business days depending on order volume and customization requirements.
- Production begins only after receipt of the agreed deposit payment.
- Custom packaging or private labeling may require additional production time.
Production timelines may vary due to:
- Raw material availability
- Seasonal demand
- Export scheduling
- Public holidays in China
4. Shipping Methods
We offer international shipping under the following Incoterms (as agreed in the Proforma Invoice):
- EXW (Ex Works) – Buyer arranges pickup from our factory in China.
- FOB (Free on Board) – We deliver goods to the port and load onto the vessel.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) – We arrange shipping and insurance to the destination port.
Other shipping terms may be arranged upon request.
5. Shipping Time
Estimated international transit times vary depending on destination:
- Asia: 5–15 days
- Europe: 25–40 days
- North America: 25–45 days
- Middle East: 15–30 days
Shipping times are estimates only and depend on:
- Shipping line schedules
- Port congestion
- Customs clearance
- Weather and global logistics conditions
We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or customs authorities.
6. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs depend on:
- Order volume
- Packaging type
- Destination port
- Selected Incoterm
All shipping costs will be clearly outlined in the Proforma Invoice before order confirmation.
Unless agreed under CIF terms, the Buyer is responsible for freight charges, insurance, import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, and destination port charges.
7. Customs & Import Responsibility
The Buyer is solely responsible for:
- Import licenses
- Customs documentation in destination country
- Compliance with local regulations
- Payment of duties and taxes
We provide standard export documentation including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading
- Certificate of Origin (if required)
Additional documents may be provided upon request.
8. Risk of Loss
Risk transfer is governed by the agreed Incoterm:
- Under FOB: Risk transfers once goods are loaded onto the vessel.
- Under CIF: Risk transfers according to CIF terms.
- Under EXW: Risk transfers at factory pickup.
The Company is not liable for damage occurring after risk has transferred to the Buyer.
9. Shipping Documentation
We ensure all shipments are prepared with accurate export documentation. Copies of shipping documents are typically provided via email prior to arrival of goods.
Original documents (if required) will be sent via international courier or through banking channels (for L/C transactions).
10. Damaged or Lost Shipments
Any damage occurring during international transit must be reported directly to the shipping carrier.
If insurance was arranged under CIF terms, claims must be filed according to the insurer’s procedures.
We assist with documentation support but are not liable for carrier-related losses once risk has transferred.
11. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for shipping delays or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Port closures
- Strikes
- War or political instability
- Global logistics disruptions
